SEVEN LAKES EDUCATION OPPORTUNITIES

The Seven Lakes demographics have changed  in recent years. In the beginning years our residents were mostly those couples who were approaching retirement ages, and had elected to move into Seven Lakes.

Currently we find that an increasing number of young families have discovered and embraced the life-style that Seven Lakes does offer. This now makes the subject of schools an even more important topic for an increasing number of families.

Seven Lakes is the fastest growing area in Moore County which means that the North Carolina educational system is constantly evaluating the needs of the increased population.

The Moore County schools  make their residents proud as they have a forward-looking, progressive, school system. Currently pending  in the state legislature is the First in America Pilot Project for 2003. Under this program, Moore County would exercise local autonomy and control over the educational process, while maintaining full responsibility and accountability for education of children in its jurisdiction. If you are interested in learning more about the project and the school system click here for their website. www.mcs.k12.nc.us.
