LANDOWNERS’ ASSOCIATION
BOARD OF DIRECTORS
APRIL 26, 2006 @
7:30 P.M.
The meeting was called to order by President Truesdell with
Directors Richmond, Fathauer, Nuti, Florence and Hudson present. Also present were Manager Fulcher, Assistant
Manager Beane and 29 members.
PRESIDENT’S REPORT - Truesdell
- Welcome

LONG RANGE PLANNING – Truesdell
- Truesdell
stated he will be chairman of this committee, which he is in the process
of organizing.
RECREATION – Fathauer
- The
Recreation Committee will be Chad Beane, Jackie Scotti and Jeff Herman.
- Restrooms
are under construction at Sequoia Point.
- Senior
Games are underway.
- The
Pool will open May 27, 2006.
- The annual
Easter Egg Hunt was held April 15 and was a big success.
- Seven
Lakes Country Club is sponsoring a Junior Golf Clinic for June 6, 13, 20
and 27.
- Youth
dance recital will be May 20 at Aberdeen Elementary.
- Seven
Lakes will again host the NC Open Water swim competition on June 3.
LAKES/MAINTENANCE AND BY-LAWS – Nuti
- Nuti
stated he is in the process of setting up his committee.
SECURITY/COMMUNITY WATCH – Florence
- The
Association has signed a Security contract with SFI to supply guards at
our North and South gates. SFI
will start serving Seven Lakes on June 1, 2006.
- The
Association will continue employing roving patrol for 80 hours per week.
- The
Association will be establishing a Community Watch program with help from
the Sheriff’s Department.
- The
Board, at their April 20th meeting, approved the two attached
amendments to our Rules and Regulations.
- Dogs
- Stickers
ARCHITECTURAL REVIEW – Richmond
- The
committee approved 4 new houses and 15 additions or alterations this
month.
FINANCE – Hudson
- Revenues
thru March 31st were $1,293,000 and expenditures were
$1,044,000.
- Hudson
stated he is looking for volunteers for the Finance Committee.
COMMENTS FROM MEMBERS
- George
Stahl stated we needed to reinstate our volunteer boat patrol on weekends
and have Association employees during the week for 2 or 3 hours in the
afternoon.
- Helen
Simpson stated we had young people on our lakes all night long last
summer.
- Joan
Moses expressed support for our Board of Directors.
- What
authority do we have to enforce our Rules and Regulations without a Police
Department? Truesdell stated we
have the same as before.
- Jackie
Scotti asked if residents needed fishing license to fish in our
lakes. Charlie Oliver suggested
that the Board have Sergeant Dutton with the NCWRC come and talk to the
Board.
